Starting on Monday, April 23, tickets will cost $28 until April 27 and will be $30 until May 3. Prom will be held at the Temple Theater in Tacoma and senior Vince Boothby is one of the students who plans on attending the dance.
“I am looking forward to seeing everyone being all fancy for a night and having fun,” said Boothby. He is going to prom with senior Sophie Watkins and hopes that the music will improve from last year.
Junior Noelle Geddis, a student involved in the leadership class, started the first day of selling tickets during the first and second lunches. “Selling tickets is stressful. People usually wait until the last day and [leadership students] have to miss class to keep up with sales that day.” said Geddis.
Leadership hopes to sell about 700 tickets this year. There will be free parking, music for the students to enjoy, as well as food and drinks. “I’ve spent the whole year planning this prom with my other class officers so I’m excited to see people’s reactions, and whether or not they enjoy it as much as we think they will,” said Geddis.
Timberline’s prom will be held on Saturday, May 5 at 8 p.m. and will last until 11 p.m.
